Another Jesus (by Joe, published Wednesday, 17 March 2010 07:36) If you have accepted Jesus, raised your hand during service, responded to an alter call and accepted Jesus into your heart, accepted the reasonable nature of someone else dying in your place to satisfy the judgment of God, or in any other modern techniques to extract profession from people, then... Quote42 (by joe, published Thursday, 25 February 2010 12:47)
We are not condemned by what we do, we do what we do because we are condemned.
We act out of evil desires because we are children of the devil. If we would, through Christ become the children of God we would then act out of Godly desires.

Qoute41 (by joe, published Thursday, 25 February 2010 12:44)
We are not washed in the blood of the Lamb so we may go to heaven. We are washed to be a clean vessel for Gods use on the earth. Heaven is not a reward for accepting Christ, Eternal life is a natural consequence of GOD dwelling and controlling every move and thought now.

Quote40 (by joe, published Thursday, 25 February 2010 12:43)

We have until our heart stops beating to allow GOD to perfect us to the extent he desires, He can and will use His love, this world, good people, evil people, angels and devils to accomplish that end. I Built this site over a couple of days knowing nothing about what I was doing, it is built with a content management system called Joomla. Hosted by DreamHost (www.dreamhost.com) They have a handy installer where Joomla as well as other programs are installed by them on the server. The look is mostly achieved with a template from JoomlaShack (www.joomlashack.com) called Js AppBox, on another site at www.buildingthebodyofchrist.org I am using a template from Rockettheme (www.rockettheme.com) called afterburner. (actualy the other site was first then I thought of this name, when I am done I will mirror the other site to this one, I think) the editor I found is called JCE (www.joomlacontenteditor.net) and it includes a spellchecker, I am trying a newsletter component called Vemod (http://vemod.unimatrix.net), The comment component is JoomlaComment4.0 by compojoom ( http://compojoom.com ) though I may try jcomment (www.joomlatune.com). Most of what I am using I don't really know how to use or even what they are called, most everything is freely available except this template which wasn't much. I will try to keep this updated as I go along and learn more of what I am doing and using, feel free to comment and or criticize.

How to submit Articles for Review and publication (by Joe, published Wednesday, 24 February 2010 11:21)
There are two ways to submit content to be viewed on this site the first is to simply comment on an article by clicking the comment at the bottom of each article type in your name and email and the little spam blocker field (if you can't read the letters click on them and they will change) then click send. After review your comment should be published and keep the conversations going.
The second way is to create an account, then log in using the log-in you just created, that puts you into the Author area of this site and you can then write articles using the submit articles button. After review your article may be published (at my discretion) then it will be available for others to comment on.
You can even upload images to your submission though they do come out full size so you might want to crop them first.
There is no spellchecker on here yet so if you are like me you might want to type in another program and cut and paste.
Update I found an editor with a spellchecker called JCE and now it works!

Definition of Death (by Joe, published Wednesday, 10 March 2010 00:00)
Many understand Christianity to mean that we receive forgiveness now and then upon the death of this body sin is removed and we are made perfect. As we go through this I think you will see that GOD may have a different idea. GOD told Adam not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden, If he did then on that day he would surely die. What if GOD was right. GOD made Adam in His image but then the Bible says Adam beget sons in his image…in the image of Adam not the image of GOD..In many other places it is written that we are dead in sins and trespasses, that we are evil through and through, that the wages of sin is death. What was accomplished on the cross was a lot more than just perpetual forgiveness and a place secured in someplace called heaven. What He purchased is His very life born into us that we may become the righteousness of GOD through Him.

Bubble headed Preachers (by Joe, published Wednesday, 10 March 2010 00:00)
How many out there have been to church or to a revival meeting and had some bubble headed preacher tell you that you were saved, you may even come to the place where you think it is true, but deep down inside you know if GOD is good then he must find you guilty. The reality is that if GOD is saving a man He is doing it by the life of Jesus being born and ruling in the man, and the righteousness of GOD works itself out in reality, sometimes when you don't want it to, proving that Jesus is LORD in your life. If, However, you are always free to do what you want then you might want to ask yourself who is LORD in your life?

Contending for the faith. (by Joe, published Tuesday, 23 February 2010 15:55)
This site, much like my life is dedicated to see GOD glorified through Jesus in this lost world. The difficulty enters in when men try to figure out how to glorify GOD. It seems to me that the man living in Romans chapter 8 typifies the glory of GOD and the man living in Romans chapter 7 typifies the man trying to glorify GOD. I for one would rather just do it than continue try and fail.
He who knew no sin became sin for us that we may become the righteousness of GOD.
How is it we become the righteousness of GOD? it can't be by works of the law or there would be reason to boast. It must be by believing on Jesus but many of us have believed then looked around and found that we were anything but the righteousness of GOD. If the justification of GOD does not work out to our actual righteousness then GOD must Himself be evil.

Revelation (by Joe, published Wednesday, 24 February 2010 13:28)
"Men share words, but God gives wisdom"
Revelation is not obtained through learning, but more through discussion, which then opens up the ability for a person to believe and that provides opportunities for revelation. GOD in his infinite mercy, has chosen to work in each one of us according to our faith. So that if we remain unbelieving in any way, we can in no way expect God's power or God's wisdom, to work in us and through us.
Faith is the key, it is as we believe God and as we trust God that we see more and more of God's power and God's wisdom working in us and through us. It stands to reason that the more we see God work in others, the more you hear about it, read about or talk about the more we are likely to believe. The more we believe, the more we trust, the more we trust, the more we are obedient, and the more we are obedient, the more we receive revelation. Trusting God is a great key to being obedient to God. We are disobedient to the extent that we distrust, conversely, the more we trust God the more we obey God.
Obedience is a blessing. Obedience is always a blessing in more ways than one. When we are obedient. Then we are blessed, and when we are blessed then we are obedient.
|
Quotes (by Joe, published Saturday, 06 March 2010 15:54) If we aren't saved from sin all the way, what makes us think we are saved at all?
For a proper understanding of sin we must realize we always have a choice whether to ignore God and rebel or submit to God and be obedient. To ignore about all we have to do is act apart from him, to submit to God is simply to believe that he is and that he rewards those who diligently seek him.
We have until our hearts stops beating to allow God to perfect us to the extent he desires, he can and will use his love, this world, good people, evil people, angels and devils to accomplish that end. The only thing that hinders his work is our resistance, he stops perfecting us only when we are determined to remain imperfect.
We are frustrated with others when we see the need for them to change, and realize our inability to help them change.
The carnal walk is to seek to understand and walk in the letter and the law of God. The spiritual walk is to seek and walk in the God of the letter and the law.
The Bible is given to spur us on to faith, not to excuse us for having mnne.
The battle is between the good that is God and the evil that is us. Jesus came to destroy the devil that is us. So that we are to him in good.
The grace of God brings wrath from all iniquity and ungodliness.
Hell is simply the will of the created believed to be independent of the creator.
Romans chapter 7 reveals a man that understands Christianity. Chapter 8 reveals a man that lives it.
The only reason we don't obey God, is because we don't trust Him.
"The holiness which the new covenant offers will rather terrify than attract men; the life in the spirit of bondage appears to make more allowance for sin, because obedience is declared to be impossible." The two covenants, by Andrew Murray
We are willing to let Jesus take us to heaven when we die, but are we willing to so lose ourselves to and in Him that he takes us to heaven while we live?
Coming to Christ is a process only in that we are drawn to a full unconditional and purpose surrender, the result of which is a life lived in Jesus where he has already perfected.
Do we ignore flesh and speaking spirit to man when we speak of heavenly things? Are we living outside of time in the spirit?
The Bible is filled with promises and warnings, the warnings are for all that do not grab a hold of the promises.
Does wrath seem to win in this world only because the love of God is misunderstood and untried.
All sin and ungodliness is evidence of a life lived apart from God. Since there is no life apart from God, that shows we live in a lie as a son of the father of lies.
The act of sin cannot be carried out in the kingdom of God. Therefore the act of sin reveals a heart of stone that is under the dominion of the prince of the power of the air, every act of sin reveals the need of a new heart.
If we are not willing to die to be holy. What makes us think we will be willing to be holy when we die.
If His death could not make you righteous, what makes you think yours will?
Jesus will take his place in the church. When we give him his place in our hearts.
If we are not willing to die to be holy. What makes us think we will be willing to be holy when we die.
Jesus has not come merely to be a substitute sacrifice that you may enjoy eternal bliss after your heart stops, while you continue is God's enemy on earth. He came to free you from all that you are in Adam that you may be reconciled to God, to live a holy life in his glory and to be a living reproach to all that is ungodly.
We die to self for the glory of God, or we die to God for the glory of self.
The martyred saints throughout history were killed for one reason they did not resist when God use them to convict others of sin.
Trials themselves don't reveal the need to be reconciled to God. It is our reaction to reveals that need.
We are willing to accept what His death and blood bought for us. As long as it doesn't cost us anything. But we will not join him in that death and humiliation in order to be made holy for the good of others.
William Gurnall sets this truth in clear light in his statement, "say not that thou has to royal blood in my veins. Say not that thou art born of God, if thou canst not prove thy pedigree by gearing to be holy."
How can we expect the power in the name of Jesus to change others at our request. If we don't first allow that same power to change us?
Just as we were born into Adam inheriting corruption to death, were also born into Jesus inheriting righteous for life.
Man came into possession of the knowledge of good and evil, unlawfully, it follows that, since a bad tree cannot produce good fruit than any exercise of the knowledge of good and evil on our parts must be evil.
A determination to live in a prescribed manner by any set of rules is to live in the letter that brings death. To live by the spirit is still a self at the altar of Christ and not move until he moves you.

Without Spot or Wrinkle (by David Wilkerson, published Thursday, 11 March 2010 15:42)
WITHOUT SPOT or WRINKLE
-by David Wilkerson.
Christ's church has never been approved or accepted by the world.
And it never will be. If you live for Jesus, you won't have to separate yourself from other's company; they'll do it for you. All you have to do is live for him. Suddenly, you'll find yourself reproached, rejected, called evil: "Men shall hate you, and- they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake" (Luke 6:22).
Yet, Jesus adds, this is the path to true fulfillment. "Whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it" (Matthew 16:25). In other words: "The only way you find meaning in life is by selling out your all for me. Then you'll find true joy, peace and satisfaction." Christ tells us, "My church is without spot or wrinkle. So, when you come to me, you must be willing to lay down all sins. You must surrender all to me, die completely to self, ungodly ambition and ego. By faith, you'll be buried with me. But I will raise you up into new life."
Think about what it means to be without spot or wrinkle. We know a spot is a stain. But what about a wrinkle? Have you ever heard the phrase, "a new wrinkle"? It means adding a new idea to an existing concept. A wrinkle, in that sense, applies to those who try to improve on the gospel. It suggests an easy way to attain heaven, without full surrender to Christ.
That's the kind of gospel that's being preached in many churches today. The sermons are aimed only at meeting people's needs.
As I read Jesus' words, I see that this kind of preaching will not work. It doesn't accomplish the true work of the gospel.
Don't misunderstand: I'm not against preaching comfort and strength to God's people. As a shepherd of the Lord, I'm called to do exactly that. But if I preach only to people's needs, and ignore Christ's call to lay down our lives, then true needs will never be met. Jesus'
words are clear: Our needs are met by dying to ourselves and taking up his cross.

"God is not now any holier than He ever was. And He never was holier than now. He did not get His holiness from anyone nor from anywhere. He is Himself the Holiness. He is the All-Holy, the Holy One; He is holiness itself, beyond the power of thought to grasp or of word to express, beyond the power of all praise."
"Language cannot express the holy, so God resorts to association and suggestion. He cannot say it outright because He would have to use words for which we know no meaning. He would have to translate it down to our unholiness. If He were to tell us how white He is, we would understand it in terms of only dingy grey."
"It was a common thing in olden days, when God was the center of Human worship, to kneel at an altar and shake, tremble, weep, and perspire in an agony of conviction. We don’t see it now because the God we preach is not the everlasting, awful God, ‘mine Holy One’ (Habakkuk 1:12), who is ‘of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity’ (Habakkuk 1:13)."
"We’ve used the technical interpretation of justification by faith and the imputed righteousness of Christ until we’ve watered down the wine of our spirituality. God help us in this evil hour!"
"We come into the presence of God with tainted souls. We come with our own concept of morality, having learned it from books, from newspapers and from school. We come to God dirty – our whitest white is dirty, our churches are dirty and our thoughts are dirty – and we do nothing about it!"
"If we came to God dirty, but trembling and shocked and awestruck in His presence, if we knelt at His feet and cried with Isaiah, ‘I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips’ (Isaiah 6:5), then I could understand. But we skip into His awful presence. We’re forgetting ‘holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord’
(Hebrews 12:14)."
"O God, soon every person must appear before you to give an account for the deeds done in the body. Father, keep upon us a sense of holiness so that we can’t sin and excuse it, but that repentance will be as deep as our lives. This we ask in Christ’s name. Amen."
-A.W. Tozer.

The Bible is given to spur us on to faith, not to excuse us for having done.
The only reason we don't obey God, because we don't trust Him.

About this site (by Joe, published Saturday, 06 March 2010 16:24)
I Built this site over a couple of days knowing nothing about what I was doing, it is built with a content management system called Joomla, the look is mostly achieved with a template from JoomlaShack called Optimus, the editor I found is called JCE and it includes a spellchecker, I am trying a newsletter component called Vemod, most of what I am using I don't really know how to use or even what they are called, most everything is freely available except this template which wasn't much. I will try to keep this updated as I go along and learn more of what I am doing and using, feel free to comment and or criticize.

About Me (by Joe, published Saturday, 06 March 2010 18:56) Hello my name is Joe Hill and I live in Buhl Idaho with my wife and six children, four girls and twin boys the two older girls live with their mom in Nevada part of the time. I created this website at the prompting of God to proclaim his power in sanctifying saints of God. In my relatively short time of following Jesus I have seen the power of God work in my life and around my life in many ways, as a matter of the journey began with a mighty work God. 10 or 12 years ago I was driving down the highway intent on killing my ex-wife and her boyfriend, it was the anger drove me to such a murderous with rage, when in desperation I prayed that if there is a God take away this anger....and that anger left never to return. I know that point there was a God and I was not him. For the next seven years I did a lot of things wrong, of course I started going to church is somehow new but thank God that I'd met was Jesus, and to many preachers and friends told me about how to invite into my heart. For seven years people kept telling I was saved, and I worked fairly hard to clean myself up only to become an even more miserable failure. You see, I kept listening to people, they would tell me how to act and that I just needed to try harder, yet the harder I tried the worse I became. You see I was trying to perfect in the flesh what God started in the spirit and it doesn't work. A few years ago when reading the Bible God began to convict me I would read how we were called to be perfect, how Jesus saves his people from their sins and I could not continue to grieve God with my life. One night I got down on my knees and basically told God that he either had to fix me or kill me, he fixed me. I woke up the next morning not even knowing who I was, I have been 3 1/2 years now trying to figure out what God did to me one day. This website is one way for me to proclaim the power of the God whom I follow. And that that God will so cleanup the soul and mind of the saint that they would wish that every thought was broadcast to the world.
I hope to add to this as time goes on.

So Great a Salvation (by Joe, published Thursday, 04 March 2010 08:40)
The means and the Power of the Cross for Salvation.
Jesus came to save His people from their sins, if we are not saved from all sin what makes us think we are saved at all? Jesus lived a life of innocence here on earth and was crucified as a guilty man, condemned by man, and crushed by GOD. "He who knew no sin became sin for us that we may become the righteousness of GOD" In that one act He secured forgiveness for all sin, and many of us as we repent and cry out, have become partakers of that forgiveness only to find something in us beyond our control. So that freedom, Guilt, shame, Repentance, deliverance becomes a circle of life and to one degree or another we live in misery and visit that misery on others. There was much more than that accomplished by Jesus on that cross.
| Rom 6:3 |
Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? |
As Jesus died on the cross for us we also died on the cross with Him, this works out in us exactly to the extent we believe. GOD often works in us according to our faith. This working of the cross in us is by means of the word of GOD or the nature of Jesus, Do not resist the evil person, give to those who ask, turn the other cheek, Bless those that curse you, and on and on. Someone told me once that we are not called to be doormats and although that makes sense that thinking is the perfect way to stay in bondage to the flesh.
GOD will deliver us, God will exalt the humble and resist the proud. It is as we let people and the world hurt us that the power of GOD through the cross of Christ works LIFE in us.
