The means and the Power of the Cross for Salvation.

Jesus came to save His people from their sins, if we are not saved from all sin what makes us think we are saved at all? Jesus lived a life of innocence here on earth and was crucified as a guilty man, condemned by man, and crushed by GOD. "He who knew no sin became sin for us that we may become the righteousness of GOD" In that one act He secured forgiveness for all sin, and many of us as we repent and cry out, have become partakers of that forgiveness only to find something in us beyond our control. So that freedom, Guilt, shame, Repentance, deliverance becomes a circle of life and to one degree or another we live in misery and visit that misery on others. There was much more than that accomplished by Jesus on that cross.

Rom 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

As Jesus died on the cross for us we also died on the cross with Him, this works out in us exactly to the extent we believe.
GOD often works in us according to our faith. This working of the cross in us is by means of the word of GOD or the nature of Jesus, Do not resist the evil person, give to those who ask, turn the other cheek, Bless those that curse you, and on and on. Someone told me once that we are not called to be doormats and although that makes sense that thinking is the perfect way to stay in bondage to the flesh.

GOD will deliver us, God will exalt the humble and resist the proud. It is as we let people and the world hurt us that the power of GOD through the cross of Christ works LIFE in us.

you don't know how much this blessed me. If you call on the name of the Lord you shall be saved. I use to think that was for the sinner but I found its for the saints as well. We have been saved, Are being saved and shall be saved. And Jesus is the one who does in all. he saved me from a sin i've been trying to get rid of myself for years but when i cried out Lord save me, he did something to me, I don't know what but I'm just going to roll with it because every time I'm tempted to do it, a power not to rises up, thank God I know its him

Are your saying that if saved you will not sin (or give in to flesh)? That seems like the flow of this article. I see that Jesus took away the sins of the world past, present, and future. That if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us. We are washed as white as snow as if we have never sinned. Removed our transgressions as far as the east is from the west. I know in my personal life what it's like to truly be right with God. That it is an issue of trust. I also see how drastic and definite of a turn my life took when I asked Jesus into my heart. I also know what it's like to fall short and live as if Jesus was of none effect. It's not the fact that I sin which makes me unrighteous. It's the work that Jesus started in me that He is going to finish that makes me righteous. Paul's struggle in Rom 7 is a picture of a defeated Christian. It is not a picture of an unsaved soul. I have not met one Christian that doesn't' have some kind of trust issue. God's strength is ...
