In this world you have many tribulations, but fear not for I have overcome the world.
Jesus has overcome the world, overcome Satan and his lies, overcome rulers and principalities and authorities, overcome even our human nature and flesh, this is not true for us only after we die. This is true for us as we live in this world, as we live only for the glory of God.
Comments are welcome on this, an incomplete thought.
Jesus came to save His people from their sins, if we are not saved from all sin what makes us think we are saved at all? Jesus lived a life of innocence here on earth and was crucified as a guilty man, condemned by man, and crushed by GOD. "He who knew no sin became sin for us that we may become the righteousness of GOD" In that one act He secured forgiveness for all sin, and many of us as we repent and cry out, have become partakers of that forgiveness only to find something in us beyond our control. So that freedom, Guilt, shame, Repentance, deliverance becomes a circle of life and to one degree or another we live in misery and visit that misery on others. There was much more than that accomplished by Jesus on that cross.
Rom 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
As Jesus died on the cross for us we also died on the cross with Him, this works out in us exactly to the extent we believe.
GOD often works in us according to our faith. This working of the cross in us is by means of the word of GOD or the nature of Jesus, Do not resist the evil person, give to those who ask, turn the other cheek, Bless those that curse you, and on and on. Someone told me once that we are not called to be doormats and although that makes sense that thinking is the perfect way to stay in bondage to the flesh.

Revelation is not obtained through learning, but more through discussion, which then opens up the ability for a person to believe and that provides opportunities for revelation. GOD in his infinite mercy, has chosen to work in each one of us according to our faith. So that if we remain unbelieving in any way, we can in no way expect God's power or God's wisdom, to work in us and through us.
Faith is the key, it is as we believe God and as we trust God that we see more and more of God's power and God's wisdom working in us and through us. It stands to reason that the more we see God work in others, the more you hear about it, read about or talk about the more we are likely to believe. The more we believe, the more we trust, the more we trust, the more we are obedient, and the more we are obedient, the more we receive revelation. Trusting God is a great key to being obedient to God. We are disobedient to the extent that we distrust, conversely, the more we trust God the more we obey God.
Obedience is a blessing. Obedience is always a blessing in more ways than one. When we are obedient. Then we are blessed, and when we are blessed then we are obedient.

How many out there have been to church or to a revival meeting and had some bubble headed preacher tell you that you were saved, you may even come to the place where you think it is true, but deep down inside you know if GOD is good then he must find you guilty. The reality is that if GOD is saving a man He is doing it by the life of Jesus being born and ruling in the man, and the righteousness of GOD works itself out in reality, sometimes when you don't want it to, proving that Jesus is LORD in your life. If, However, you are always free to do what you want then you might want to ask yourself who is LORD in your life?
Many understand Christianity to mean that we receive forgiveness now and then upon the death of this body sin is removed and we are made perfect. As we go through this I think you will see that GOD may have a different idea. GOD told Adam not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden, If he did then on that day he would surely die. What if GOD was right. GOD made Adam in His image but then the Bible says Adam beget sons in his image…in the image of Adam not the image of GOD..In many other places it is written that we are dead in sins and trespasses, that we are evil through and through, that the wages of sin is death. What was accomplished on the cross was a lot more than just perpetual forgiveness and a place secured in someplace called heaven. What He purchased is His very life born into us that we may become the righteousness of GOD through Him.
